Status/Whereabouts of Marquee Star???

I was at the track last night and picked up the program for Lone Star so I could bet a few TB races in addition to the QH action at Sam Houston. I saw in the 5th race where an offspring of Marquee Star was running, having won over $120K up to that point. (He came in second last night to another ol' favorite Chauffe au Rouge!)

Here's my question: Is Marquee Star still alive and at stud somewhere? He was standing at Lakeland here in Texas (or perhaps it was somewhere else?). He saw very few mares and only had a few foals reported but after only one or possibally two seasons I never heard anymore about him.....until I saw this son of his in the program last night. I'm very familiar with his dam, Marshua's Echelon, and her family and am just curious......for ol' times sake.....as to what ever happended to this stallion?
