I want to breed one of my mares (Glorieta4) to a Storm Cat son in 2006. (She's already in foal to Devon Lane, so I want to wait a year or two before I breed her back.)
Who do you think would be the best bet of the following NM stallions?
Dome (Storm Cat x She's Tops), 1998. Out of a GSW by Capote and half brother to Dixie Union, from the female family that produced Zavata by Early Colony. No racing credentials of his own (?).
Dominique's Cat (Storm Cat x Eliza), 1997. Dam was a 2YO Champion. Full sister Miss Doolittle has a 2003 King Mambo that went for $1.3M as a yearling. Dominique's Cat's race record: 11 Starts, 3 Wins, 1 Places, 2 Shows Career Earnings: $73,750
Elegant Cat (Storm Cat x Elegant Glance), 1999. He was a $1.1M yearling. Half brother to Gentleman. No racing credentials.
(All info according to database).
Thanks,
Laurie

By "no racing credentials" I assume you mean unraced. If this is the case, and you're set on one of these 3, I would go with Dome. Its the one family who has recently produced the best stallions... in my opinion affording you the best chance at securing a run to race foal. Of course if conformation allows...

I believe Devon Lane is now standing in New Mexico for $2,500. He is a Storm Cat out of a Relaunch mare who has some good young horses running right now. May want to give him a look too.
Good luck in you choice.
Thanks, but actually, she's already in foal to Devon Lane (along with my Southern Halo mare). LOL I think I'm going to wait a year or two to breed her back to Devon, so I'm researching other promising sons of Storm Cat (enrolled as NM bred stallions) in the meantime.
