Mingun to Lanes End

He's going to stand for $7500. Any opinions on him? I'm thinking if you are a first year sire next year you are going to have a lot of competition at the rate horses are retiring.

I'm thinking he's been sent there to help take some of the load off of Kingmambo, who, as we all know, has not been doing so good healthwise (and what a discount in price- $300,000 for proven stud vs $7,500 for a shot at the family). I wonder how many people would try him as a discount, or, if retirement looms, an outright substitute for his brother?
My big question is, now that the half-brother has arrived, how much longer will they keep the King working with his neck problems? He isn't old but his body seems to think so :?

I kind of had the same thought, but he's a longshot to dethrone the King. That $7500 to $15000 group of first year stallion is getting crowded. Does anyone see a correction coming for the popularity of first year sires given the glut of new ones coming in this year?

Is he just begging to be sent a Mr. Prospector mare? That was my first instinct...just wanted to know if it's a good one. Both AP Indy and Miesque have top level success bred to Mr P. mares and to Mr P. himself respectively. I can't find any pictures of Mingun online. How does he look?
