hi Tom Fool
For what it's worth...I suggest that Forestry is a very nice horse...and (for starters) has lots more leg under him than you might expect to see on a sprinter.
The bummer is that rumor has it that his stud fee'll be bumped to $100,000 for 2006.
I suggest that $75,000 was/is a push...and $100,000 is not justifiable (by any stretch)...but I assure you the spin will begin the moment it's bumped (if in fact it is).
I don't believe that Taylor Made really wants to increase Forestry's stud fee (unless and until he does something to justify it)...but I expect that Mr Jones might make the call. Maybe TM can temper such a decision.
Consider this...Forestry has not even once had a classic threat (or even a contender for that matter).
Respectfully

I haven't seen either of the sons, but I have seen Forestry himself and I own a daughter of his. He's a big, well made horse and he generally sires the same. Our filly could win "on the line" at a hunter show. He also generally produces a fast horse with a great work ethic.
On the other hand, I agree with FOS that 75K is a stretch and 100K (if it comes to that) would be much too high. So far, Forest Danger is his only G1 winner and he has yet to sire a millionaire, or even a horse that's come close.
If I had to chose between Forest Danger and Teton Forest I would choose the former because he accomplished more on the track. But it's much too early to know if Forestry will be a sire or sires and neither of those horses impress me enough to make me want to breed to them right now.
