Pedigree Query

This mare I worked with just got retired and is being shipped to Washington to be a broodmare. Out of curiousity, who in Washington would she be good with (to cross with Cee's Tizzy)?
She is a half sister to the sales topper at the '04 Barretts June 2-year-olds in training sale.
I guess what I am looking for are good nicks with Cee's Tizzy...like a Seattle Slew son. Is Slewdledo still around?

Where are these pedigree experts when you need them?

I'd thought immediately of the Seattle Slew line when noting that the mare is by Cee's Tizzy; Cahill Road would also be a possibility on paper. However, it's hard to be more specific without knowing anything about the mare's dam's side -- forgive me if I don't feel like chasing over the Web to find out who the Barretts '04 sales topper was so I can determine the mare's identity when it would be a lot easier for the owner to just post the mare's name.

Sorry, the mare is named Sweet Thing. Her half sister by Helmsman was the sale topper at the Barretts sale, Lovely Journey.
A funny thing is that I have worked with both fillies, one at the track, one at the sale. Except for the fact they are both good sized mares, nothing alike at all.

It sounds as though the dam of these fillies is not strongly stamping her produce, which can be a good or bad thing depending on her conformation and characteristics.

To tell you the truth, I find it hard to work up a lot of enthusiam for this female family -- closest thing to a decent racehorse produced in a while is your mare's full bro Kid Royal, who has shown some real speed. Unfortunately, with Taj Alriyadh and Slewdledo both out of the picture, there just isn't a Slew-line stallion up that way I've got much of any likings for. For what it's worth, Kentucky Lucky looked interesting on paper, but since he didn't race I'd be wary of putting him to a mare with a limited race record unless the conformation match looked absolutely superb.

I'd be a bit more inclined to put her to a proven racehorse who showed at least a little durability, and Defensive Play and Liberty Gold both fall into this category. Fappiano/In Reality has worked well for quite a while; Crafty Prospector/In Reality has also worked and gives sex-balanced inbreeding to IR (don't do this if the mare is at all back at the knees, though; that's a common IR-line fault).
