Kitten's Joy matchups

Postby Ill-bred » Wed Sep 28, 2005 8:32 am

Ok, for the fun of it I was looking at KJ's pedigree and wondering what types of mares would be good.

Two things that came to mind were:

-Prospector mares.
-Secretariat-line mares, noting the presence of Somethingroyal (Sir Gaylord) already in his pedigree.

Someone tell me if I'm on the right track or not!

Any guesses at his stud fee?

I would think his fee would be somewhere between $15-25k. Ramsey said he would be priced fairly and considering that he ran on turf and he has a turf pedigree I would think that would be more then fair.

His pedigree is interesting, has a little bit of everything expect Mr. P, but none is close up.

hi guys

I'd expect that $15,000-Live might be a number that might attract plenty of breeders to drive-out and take a look at this guy.

If he could then stand up to significant physical scrutiny, I'd expect he'd find some good support at that level.

Certainly he could stand for less than $15k, and I expect a case could be made that he could stand for more (after all he was an eclipse winner as a result of his accomplishments on the turf)...but I suggest that $15k is a good starting point.
