well I guess they'll set his stud fee one of these days . Looking to foal share with him does anyone have any thoughts on him as a marketable stallion.

Yankee Victor was offered a very good opportunity, but I would recommend that you might consider expanding your list of possible mates for your mare.

From my perspective, there's not much positive talk, pizzazz, charisma (or whatever you might want to call it) or exciting success connected to him...which arguably affects the marketability of his offspring (in general).

Question is, will his runners start gracing the winners circles at some major tracks in some major races. Maybe...and I expect that's the only thing that could enhance his marketability.

But based on what he's accomplished thus far...I wouldn't hold my breath...hmmm.

Yankee Victor may have been a bit quiet, but he is heating up a little bit. Real Dandy is a recent SW (Graded?) and I have noticed several recent maiden special winners. YV was a tremendous miler, but was not his best until 4; perhaps his progeny will also be better at 3 and 4.

If you are breeding to sell, YV is much more of a gamble than a first or second year horse. However, if he turns out to be a Wild Rush or a French Deputy you will be sitting pretty.

Lending credence to what FOS has stated, I have heard Yankee Victor's stud fee is heading south of 15K.

I like this horse and if they lower his fee he could be a good value. I liked these horses there much better though: Include, Indian Charlie, Forest Camp (GORGEOUS animal), Harlan's Holiday, Deputy Commmander (has the look of eagles, don't know if his foals have it or will), but I'd bred to Stormin' Fever, he's magnificent, was a very good racehorse and his foals are really starting off well, could be the heir apparent, at any rate that fee will be going up I think. indian Charlie is built uphill (butt high) and has back problems so I wouldn't breed any mares to him with similar conformation. As I recall Harlan's Holiday was over at the knee (badly) so I would make sure the mare had excellent front legs.

If you are breeding to race though (and don't want Storm Cat) I'd skip all of those and breed to Slew City Slew while you can! He's a bargain.
