Afleet Alex to Stonestreet (?)

Postby ZiaLand » Thu Oct 20, 2005 12:13 pm

I don't have my current issue of Blood-Horse in front of me at the moment, but I believe Afleet Alex was listed as one of the stallions at Stonestreet (?) and it definitely took me by surprise. Last I heard he was still on the agenda to race again. Did I miss some important news? Anyone know the latest?

Yeah I don't think so. I really don't think they'd put that in there without it being made official, that's not the rumored farm he's going to anyway...that'd be Castleton Lyons if the buzz is right, plus I just checked afleetalex.com and Bloodhorse's stallion register online and no news from Camp Alex and Bloodhorse didn't put him down as being on any farm as a stallion. I figure if he was listed in a magazine he'd be on the website.

Thanks for clarifying, Brian. I thought it seemed a little odd to make such an announcement with no hooplah or press releases attached. Guess I didn't read the ad thoroughly, but I wonder how many others made the same assumption.
