Antonius Pius

Postby UK Breeder (19) » Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:16 am

Hi

I have booked all my mares into stallions for next year, bar two.

I was thinking possibily of using Antonius Pius. I know he was a bit quirky to say the least, but he is a Gr.2 winner by Danzig.

I was wondering if any other breeders had any opinion on him?

Has anyone seen him in the flesh? I've seen his video and looks very impressive, a typical Danzig.

Many Thanks

Just curious- which mare were you thinking of?
Our pedigree gurus often like to know before they begin the analysis

Hi

The mare is by Shirley Heights, whose dam is full sister to champion racehorse and sire Forli.

She slipped her foal this year (2004 covering), so we rested her. She has produced 2 minor winners, thus far.

I saw him once at the track, I was very impressed I liked him alot..
I know I took pictures of him, but lost a lot when my computer crashed.
I will look thru my cd's and see if he was saved...

JMO I shouldn,t dubbling up so short in pedigrees, as mill reef wasn,t an relaxed horse by any means. Lots of his offspring are having troubles with their psychologic attributes. Most off the Shirley Heights offspring also.
I should be on the look out for a sire, that gives easy to handle offspring.
Lots are a very talented while young but ruined early.
