We bred two gorgeous geldings from him, from a Murrtheblurr mare. He seems to have just disappeared!

Does anyone know where this good horse is at, or if he's still alive?

Hi,
The last information i could find is that his last reported history was he had 2 live foals in 1999 foaling year.I googled him and according to that it appears Leckbee Thoroughbred last stood him as a racehorse sire.Maybe you can contact them and they could tell ya?He sure didnt do much as a race horse stallion.

Hallo,
maybe you are interested to read, a Grandson Of Somfas or close relative was sent to Germany. His name is Ransom O'War (Red Ransom - Sombreffe by Polish Precedent). He raced over distance from 1600 m to 2400 meters, his best trip was over 2000m. Ransom O'War started 11times, with 3 wins (Gr. Dallmayr Preis Bayer, Zucht Rennen, Group ! + Großer Müller Brot Preis, Group 2), 4 second places (German Derby, Group 1; Dr. Busch Memorial, Group 3) and 2 thirds (German 2000 Guineas, Group 2. Ranson O'War was bred by the W. Lazy T. Ltd. /U.S.A. and purchased as faol, during his 2 year old season he raced in England.
Ransom O'War stands since 2005 at the "Fahrhof Stud" (www. Faehrhof.de), his fee is set at 4.500.-- Euros. His first foals will be born
this season.
A quick glance at his ped reveals he is 4 x 5 linebred to Nearctic and
5 x 5 to Nasrullah + his 3/4 brother Royal Charger in the same generation.
Regards, Bettina

Well, I hope and pray the old boy has a good retirement. I had the distinct pleasure of visting him, hands-on, when he was with Merv Leckbee, before his owner took him off to God-knows-what. Grand old horse, very correct and bold, with the fire of his sire and a gentle outlook. Our two by him are both remarkable individuals.

Just looked up Adbass on the Jockey Club and he DID breed mares in 2004.
No, he was owned by Aziz Al Saud - though Dalal Al Saud (Mrs.) signed the cover certs.... When *Adbass was pulled from Leckbee's care and handling, he just flat disappeared. Rumors had it he was taken to Arizona, or to Portland.... never did find out til now. This was (IMHO, of course) a classic case of an owner doing a good horse a huge disservice. Leckbee's own mares and ours were the best the horse ever saw on this continent - and we don't race ours! I have read that he had some useful runners before his importation.
So, is Bull inthe Heather doing anything these days???
