I found this one: KREATOR, he is in the pedigree query.
Look to old, almost, forgotten names.
Achievements a jumper pur sang according to information, he is used in our country for half (warmblood) breeding.
Today I found a very rare one by coincedence

Rare Thoroughbre lines
Hello, BenB;
don't despair. Several of the names are to find in my Homecountry Female families.
For Example:
Babant (Bibi Sahiha, Fam 14, bred by The AGA Khan)- his damline bred Borgia and Boreal
Blasius (Blaustrumpf, Fam. 9, Gestut Schlenderhan) - Belenus (by Lomitas) German Derby Winner
Further back in Kreator's ped is a Sire with the strange name of
Leb w Leb (by Villars)
Dam Sire Percy (by Prince Olaf) - Sachertorte (Percy) Fam. 8, see Olymp, Organdy, Orofino, Oxalagu
Granddam Dank-Sage (by Gouvernant) - Winnica Fam. 4 (Kincsem), dam Orsza (by Gouvernant), see Wahnfried, Waldcanter, Well Made, Wauthi
3rd dam Sage-Dank (by Matchbox) - Con Amore (by Matchbox) German Derby Winner, Con Amore is the dam sire of Wie So? (by Ossian, Fam. 5)
see Waldrun, Windwurf, Wurftaube
Marchbox turns up, too in the dam line of a filly named Hexi Sexi. I came across like you by coincidence. Well I thought the family of Hutschachtel iis long extinct. Btw, her dam Hyeres is a FS of Antibes (see Villars).
Several of this damlines are import to Germany during the timespan between First and II. World War.
Sadly many of this lines from the former Austria-Hungary are gone forever. According a report in the German Thoroughbredbreeder Magazine "Vollblut" only 50 Thoroughbreds "survived" the war in Hungary!
Belenus was a German Derby winner, but couldn't found a place in a German Stud. Guess, to which Country he was sent? Poland!
Another observation I made, When I read the name Matchbox I thought, there is a sire named Matchmaker, silimar name, similar ped. Indeed, they are close relatives.
Regards, Bettina

By the way: SaintlyCZ is an expert of "old" Austrian-Hungarian and some German lines which came to Czech Republic and sometimes survived there.
Don't forget: before 1914/1918 there was a complete other parcelation of states in Middle/Middle-East-Europe as it is after 1945 or 1989.
And another fact: before 1914 the Austrian Derby at Freudenau, Vienna, was much more prestigious and competitive than the German Derby, run at Hamburg.

Both of you,
Bettina and Parlo ,I owe something, as you,re helping me a tremendous lot with you,re knowledge of German Breeding.
Bettina was it you,re name in the German Part of TB Heritage??
Parlo if Mellanie Surprise steps up in class I let you know. But for the time beiing ausgleich 3 maybe down in the 2 seems to be her limit.
According direktorium. de She got three listed races under her belly, what is insane because our quality is very bad, compare to German standards.
So we will be looking for 3 or 4 condition races to get a gag placing.
With my regards
Ben

Hello Ben,
I "talked" to Margreet yesterday. Follow You plans - a classic contender is a classic contender (- even in the Netherlands!
I know this feeling, for my horse was just beaten to a future Derby-winner in a classic - first I was proud on the rating he got and later on he could not do it in the handicaps).
If I get the conditions of the races, I'll search for some races for Mellanie. But I think, Jan P. will have the condition book as well and earlier than me. As Jan knows German racing very well, he will be able to place Your horse correctly.
