Hi all, has anyone seen Century City or any of his babies? i am thinking of sending a mare to him in 07. He was a 2.2 million dollar horse that could flat out run. Any opinions would be appreciated

I really like the stallion and I've heard his babies are nice. My concern is that they dropped his stud fee from $10,000.00 to $7,500.00. My question is why? And will they drop him again next year? Super horse and pedigree, wish I knew what was going on.

CC is a magnificent animal, very well conformed and with an air about him. His grass pedigree has probably hurt him commercially. I wouldn't worry about the fee drop, as it was predictable. Sons of Danzig are difficult plays for potential pricing.

Century City is obviously well-bred with a ton of pedigree behind him. He sold as a yearling for a sum in excess of $2 million and put up some huge races on turf overseas and in US. I saw him at Wintergreen in October, and he was stall-bound at the time. I don't recall the precise reason why, but I had the impression that it's residual problems from a racing career that ended in 2003.
