I saw him at Walmac and was not impressed. A bit of a physical lightweight.

I was not impressed by his breeding stats. SOS is following a pattern we are seeing today, early maturing and prone to early breakdowns.

Well, early maturing does NOT have to mean "early racing". That's a stupid human trick!

Thanks guys....I was kinda wondering about his looks he looks stout in the flyer I just received and he would be a nice outcross for one of my mares. They said in the flyer he is " Very Correct and does well with mares with good bone " I did notice he doesn't improve his mares...something I like to see when deciding a breeding. I guess I will stick with who I have picked for her since I do not see anything better as of yet.

Yeah BJ....I do not understand this idea that early maturity makes for better race horses. First off they want them big and tall yet at the same time run them at 2....these things ususally do not go hand in hand

Amen. I certainly get nervous when I read that 'mares with good bone' when they make mating suggestions. In other words "our stallion has 'bad' bone and is a light weight." I'd rather avoid that myself but hey to each his potentially light-boned 2yo's own.
