Say, Floridians, any of you seen Gibson County? Does he have In Excess's offset knees? What does he look like?

I havent seen any conformation photos of GC, but he did have a 2yr. winner at Santa Anita.

GC was only bred to a handful of mares, check his progeny and mares in the data bank.

His dam was a beautiful yearling, when I saw her at the OBS August sale in 1992. She sold for $31K, above my budget at the time. What a nick her parents had! When she was for sale, she already had two sibs of $100K+ earnings, one a jumper. Then she made over $500K, her little sister made over $260K, etc. Look at the second dam's progeny report on the pedigree page for Gibson County.

Gibson County's 2nd dam Raja's Treasure is a diamond in the rough producer.

This stallion GC is a sleeper stallionand when bred to a full book of mares will make his mark in the breeding shed.

I have seen this same stallion pattern over the years, and when a freshman sire is only bred to a few mares and produces 2 winners from those few mares, you can bet GC will be a very successful stallion.

Gibson County got a minor stakes winner in Genuine Talent. If GT is any indication of what Gibson County can produce, GC has a good future ahead of him.

Minor? So far this year, not many 2-yo stakes-races in USA bigger than the $65,000 added Willard L. Proctor Memorial Stakes at Hollywood Park...and at 5 1/2 furlongs no less. Genuine Talent carried co-highweight and won by 2 1/2 lengths.

Also..for what it's worth, a colt by Dixieland Band (out of a Gulch mare) was 2nd...and a colt by Forestry (out of an Unbridled) finished sixth and last.

Respectfully

For every successful stallion, you will find class in the dam or 2nd dam that will put that stallion over the top.
