Thoughts on Rizzi as a sire.

Postby dray33 » Sun May 14, 2006 7:39 am

I recently bought a Rizzi colt at auction, was purchased strictly on individual alone, a potential racehorse without any consideration of pedigree. He is quite a looker, and now I'm wondering about his sire. He is a full brother to one of Rizzi's better runners, Rich In Glory. Can anyone shed any light on Rizzi? Cheers, Dray.

Rizzi...

I visited Rizzi earlier this breeding season. Our farm is about 5 miles from where he stands. There isn't anything dramatic about him but he is solidly built..and here is the part you'll like...he does get a good percentage of decent runners and winners at the NYRA tracks. Don't know where you are planning on racing but good luck.

Rizzi is the sire of Richly Blended who is a half to the very good filly Splended Blended. Richly Blended stands out here in California and the word is his babies are gorgeous. I believe his first crop are yearlings.

The Richly Blended babies are actually two this year, and the first should be hitting the track in the next month or so. Very good reports all around on his babies. He was a talented runner, and hopefully he'll pass it on.
