Slewdledo put down

Postby Bill from WA » Thu May 18, 2006 2:42 pm

Leading Northwest sire, Slewdledo, was put down earlier this month due to bladder cancer that had spread thoughout his body. Slewdledo is the sire of 36 stakes winners to date. He will be missed.

Man, that's a terrible loss for this region. My sincere condolences to his connections.

Bill, do you know if he has a crop from this year, or was he so ill that a season was not possible?

I don't know for sure if he was bred this year. He may have covered a few mares. He was a superb regional sire. They're hoping Kentucky Lucky can help to fill the void..

That's really too bad. However, he produced so many good-looking and athletic performers that his stamp will still be visible in the region for a while.
