Assuming you are able to register your girl, do you want to breed your own racehorse (talk to your parent's about that one!) or do you want to breed to sell the baby at a sale OR do you want to sell it to someone else privately who will race it.
If you are unable to get her registered, what would be your plans for the foal - show horse, performance horse, etc?
You also have to define "fairly good" in your terms, not everyone elses. It can depend on your goals. If I want to breed horses that like to run long distances and on the grass, I wouldn't breed a sprinting pedigree mare to a sprinting pedigree stallion, even if they were both really good. In fact, the stallion might be a superb sire of sprinters, but only "fairly good" at siring horses that like to run distance. In that case, it doesn't matter how well bred he is, or how many stakes he won or how many stakes winners he's sired if he doesn't fit my goals. Same thing with the dam, if she's never been able to produce a winner beyond 7 furlongs no matter how many really good distance horses she's been bred to, she's probably not the right mare to use for this goal, either. See what I mean?
Hope this helps. Get your goals straight in your mind and then it will be easier to go forward from there. I'm sure you will be able to find a suitable stallion for your goals and budget when the time comes.
