It seems she's now listed as an out. Wonder what's up with that??

Maybe Stronach's team thought well enough of her that they decided to keep her to race? That's what I'm hoping. Say what you like about his business practices, but his breeding and racing operations are topnotch. I didn't think he was much of a pinhooker, anyway, which is why I was kinda surprised she was cataloged for this sale.

We were surprised as well, which is why she was one of the main ones we wanted to see. She was certainly very high on our list.

Sadly, Ashado's 1/2 brother by Unbridled's Song (220) only has one eye. Apparently, he had some type of pasture accident. It's really unfortunate, because he otherwise is a super nice colt. I'm sure he would've commanded one of the highest prices if he had 2 eyes. Somebody might get a sweet deal on him. It's going to be interesting to see what he brings.

That was one creepy looking eye. It's just an empty socket, and can evidently still blink too. :?

Some seriously blue blood has gone for some big bucks so far. $8.2 million for a Storm Cat-Awesome Humor... can y'all share some thoughts on his presence in the ring? Any of the others for that matter but somebody said this colt had pretty good knees which I guess is a big deal considering it's a Storm Cat. I don't know if this is a stupid question but if a stud has a notorious habit of passing on certain flaws, does the absence of those flaws mean the offspring are any less likely to be stamped with the other things that make the stud a success? Could it mean that this colt is more like Awesome Humor and family than Storm Cat (and if that's the case, couldn't she then breed to a different stud and do just as well)? Or is my lack of proper eating today leading to blood sugar making me say squirrely things that make no sense?

For them what saw this filly, did the Unbridled's Song/Win Crafty Lady go for what you thought? How was her underpinning? I don't mean to play 20 questions but I'm totally living vicariously here.

I'll be there the whole sale. Today (Tuesday), I'll be wearing my bright blue "Press Camp," hat, so if you run into me, feel free to say hello.

Given the prices on yesterday's Giant's Causeway yearlings, I wonder if we might see a decrease in his stud fee soon.

Ditto FuPeg.

The Storm Cat/Awesome Humor colt was ALL THAT. I will be there again tomorrow. I had to spend a day in the office today.. old business rearing its head.

I got a chance to get Rocky's little bro out of the stall; he's really something and the consignor said interest in him has been very high.

I've seen a couple Giant's Causeways go through today and the prices haven't improved.

I don't know auctions well, but how does hip 491, an Empire Maker out of a stakes winning dam (stakes placed producing) only go for $7k. 3 legs? Is that some kind of typo on KEE site?

I was a little surprised that most of the Empire Makers weren't that impressive, but $7,000 seems awfully low with a SW dam. Even if the horse was sad looking.

There was a $7k Point Given and a $9k Tale of the Cat.

If you are watching the sale, and a horse with nice pedigree gets a tiny bid, and the horse goes on to sell at that price (not RNA)... there's issues with that horse.

Question: a dr. bay colt by STORM CAT out of HASILI by KAHYASI (IRE), blind with 3 legs is worth?
