Anyone know if there's going to be an online catalog... and will anyone be going to this sale?

OK, never mind on the first part of the question... I found a place to order a catalog. It also said that an online catalog would be available soon.

Now to the second question... will anyone be attending this sale?

Not sure if I will be going or not. I was going to enter a few, but missed the deadline. However, I did send some to their first sale in 2004 and sold the one on the front cover of this sales catlog. Her name is Our Family Emblem. Her half-brother will be going into the yearling sale at Timonium in Oct.

I ordered a catalog but I haven't received it yet. I'll be sure to look at your horse on the cover... that's pretty cool!

If you do go, or if anyone goes, I would love to hear opinions on hip #77... should be a late maturing horse, so I'm not expecting greatness as a yearling, but you never know...

I sure will check Hip 77 for you if I go. If I don't I will have a trainer or one of the bloodstock agents check it out for you. Do you want someone to get in touch with you or did you just want to know what it looks like?

I've never been to any sale before and am thinking of going. I'd love to meet up with anyone interested. I can also take a digital camera and get stills of video if anyone wants it, but won't be able to send them till the next day.

Thanks, Madelyn... quite a trip for you, isn't it? Looking at mares? I see two that are interesting to me, but I keep repeating to myself... not until I sell some... not until I sell some... no, no, no

Happy; I got my catalog today. Broke maiden first time out, huh? Nice! Hip #77 is by our stallion. Not that it matters, since the mare was obviously sold and moved to MD before foaling so the yearling is not an IN bred... there goes my potential stallion awards! SIGH

My Aunt lives very near the track, and I might be able to con her into going and taking a look if she's not working that day, but the more opinions I can get the better.

There have been very few of his babies entered into sales and understandably so, since he tends to throw late maturing babies and they aren't as attractive to the buyers. The mare is also in the sale, hip #1, so if anyone was so inclined to compare the yearling to the mare and see what she appears to have received from her dam vs. her sire, I would be interested in hearing that, too... (I don't know the mare at all...)

You know, in case anyone's just standing around the sale with absolutely nothing better to do...

What does everyone think of these weanlings? Assuming good confirmation, which would you think has the better racing potential?
