WHAT was that bizzare little stretch he did with his hind leg, right around when he was sold? It looked like a dog lifting a leg on a tree (but obviously w/o the outward swivel)
anyone see it?
never seen a horse do that.
yes I should be working.
heh heh

Was it Stringhalt? I've only seen it in saddle type horses, looks freaky if you've never seen it before! Not a good thing that's for sure

I don't know; I've never heard that term before.
He lifted it high and back, and kind of froze there for 3 seconds or so.
it was RIGHT after the "gavel fell" so someone was probably cursing themselves.
What does it mean?

Hi Stringhalt is a pretty serious condition and it often appears just like you describe. The horse will pull a rear leg right up to there belly (in varing degrees) and then just stand there. hopefully the above link will give you a bit more info

I would be cheezed right off if I paid good money and found out that is what I bought. There is no way the seller would no have know about the condition!

I konw of a horse with stringhalt has won a few races this year. Assuming the horse was inspected prior to the sale, I don't see how a buyer could miss it!
