Just wondering what everyone thought this mare might go for. She'll sell on Saturday.

Thanks

Umm. $7500? Unraced open mares haven't been bringing much unless they're by a name sire. It is also pretty dependent on the weather. Yesterday was a dismal day and prices reflected it a bit.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

I noted #4633 was an OUT. Probably best for all, considering my estimate of $7500 was probably double what she would have brought on that day. There were a few not unlike this mare who barely got the $1,000 minimum bid.

I know, I was eagerly waiting by my computer for most of the morning to get a look at her and watch her sell but no go. There were several mares with Ontario breeding that were either out or RNA'd for a low sum. There were a few that were shockingly low by my estimate even just based on the covering sires fee. Hip # 4633 has a weanling filly in our Ontario mixed sale. We'll see what happens with her. No offense to any sellers but I hope the mares that I am interested in sell for typical low Ontario prices

There's always the CTHSsale at Woodbine on Dec. 2nd. Lots of Ontario pedigrees there and I believe that the prices will be very reasonable....not quite the selection that KEE had, but 100 or so mares...some of them not all that bad...
