But some of the horses that go through this sale are downright cheap!

Sorry it is sunday1 Here is the Sham: http://www.washingtonthoroughbred.com/S ... og/227.PDF

And there is a Kennedy road, an Academy Award, Grindstone... Didn't look up these. This sale the mares tend to go really cheaply.

What did you think of the sale? Broodmare prices were low as usual. But overall I think the sale went pretty good, a few going a little higher than anticipated.

The prices for weanlings and yearlings were a pleasant surprise. More of the mares went for much less than I've ever experienced at this sale but the mares this year were of a little bit lower quality.

I thought there was some really nice individuals in the sale........i picked up a really nice yearling for half of what i was willing to spend so i was happy  .There also was some really sad prices on weaners, yearlings and mares which is why i left the sale shortly after i got mine because i didnt want to come home with a trailer full.

I did the same. Actually ended up buying a three yr old Snowbound at the beginning of the sale( one that I didnt need ), but the price was right. I only had room for one horse to haul home because pardners were supposed to pick up two( which they never even bid so I lost out on the one I wanted ).

Ryeno,
Which hip did you bring home? Is this one you are going to run or did you purchase for a client? How exciting!
