Ft breeze vids

Trying to improve my eye on a horse's action. I am a claiming owner and also bought a yearling last year,but working off the breeze's seems very difficult. Can I get any comments on a trio of horses that probably disappointed their connections yesterday...... Besides time...Is there any obvious flaws in their action that stand out.
I realize vetting...conform...pedigree all play big roles in the bidding,but I'm just trying to improve my eye at this point. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks

Efficiency of stride is the biggest factor most buyers will look at when they're breezing.

List the 3 and im sure everyone will take a stab at why... but again, if the conformation isnt there, even a great stride will be hurt in the sales price.

In the case of 212 and 275, the difference between what was paid for them as yearlings and what was paid (or asked) yesterday was so great that I suspect you're not going to find many clues in what you see in their works. They most likely had vetting issues.

I've seen horses with pretzel legs who nevertheless travel with great action and stretch. The jocks will get off in amazement at how well these horses felt beneath them. Still, not a good reason to buy a crooked legged horse, but it does figure in the equation of risk vs return.

Matt-

If you're at the sale, go to the replay room and ask to watch the works in slow motion. That really helps in analysis and you'll see things you'd never see in regular speed.

Call Fasig Tipton and get the DVD's of the sale, you can run them in slow-motion and learn alot. One you didn't mentioned that failed to meet reserve was Hip 301, my Forestry filly. Last hip in the book, and she can fly.

Things are going well. Have one in tomorrow @ GP. My 2 yr. old is in Ocala moving along nice and easy. She's a Pa. bred.so I'm excited about the purse developments there. Looking forward to hooking up with you again on the NY/NJ circuit. I've been too jammed to make GP so far which is very unfortunate!
