Wow, Hip No. 30 sure looks like a dandy! (Totally unbiased opinion of his owner).

Madelyn, Actually, the market perception on Seattle Fitz seems to be changing. At Fasig-Tipton July, he had yearlings sell for $155,000, $52,000 (a full brother to my colt!!!), and $30,000. Hopefully that trend will continue when Fitz has a few more yearlings selling at Keeneland Sept a little later in the book. Fingers crossed!

Well, my colt's 3-year-old half-sister broke her maiden Friday night in special weight company at the Meadowlands...just in time to bring her earnings up to $52,900! Not bad after just 6 starts! Hopefully this will make buyers take a closer look at her baby brother. Fingers and toes crossed as Sunday approaches. Any of you going to be there?

More than I'd get for mine, I'm sure. Not that I'm going to NY tomorrow... BUT if I were, I'd want Hip No. 273. She's older and barren, but I want a Deputy Minister daughter for my boy BADLY. If anyone decides to buy her, then wants to breed to an Indiana sire, I'll give you a free breeding!

She was the mare I picked out as well. I'm always looking for a Blushing Groom mare to cross with Legal Jousting. And you can't really fault her female family
.
If you miss out on #188, I have a lovely Nashwan mare I would consider selling..
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Bargainblueblood or anyone --
Have you considered a broodmare-favored sale in NY/PA in the really late November to February time frame?
We've been told by consignors that's the time frame when broodmares bring the best money -- I know from sad experience that the PA Sept. sale is WAY too early.
I'd love to breed to a NY sire & ell at a PA/NY sale in the above time frame.
Has anyone considered it? I asked the question of the guy who currently runs the PA sale & he wasn't interested . . . maybe NY would take up the slack?
