She is really nice looking. Does she take after her sire?

Very nice looking filly. And Perfect Circle is a good looking fellow himself who just shines with good health. Gotta love the roan sock.

Hope the filly sells well!

I can definitely see his influence. She is an outstanding filly. Should be interesting to see how she sells.

what a terrible sale.. nothing is getting the bids they deserve.
Great for buyers terrible for sellers.

She went to $2,000 ... not sure if she sells though..

That's a nice looking filly for 2k. Looks like were in a recession along with Wall Street..

Prices in general today are bad. For a well bred but unplaced stallion that isn't bad considering what others were selling (or not selling) for. It says in the results that she sold for $2,000.

I think it's been a pretty fair sale. The ones not bringing a bid or selling cheap really are legitimately worth little or nothing. Some people put some real junk in this sale and nobody is dumb enough to buy it. My favorite is "Thunderhoof Thoroughbreds" with a collection of "not mated" mares and unbroke 2yos (and most of them have obscure pedigrees). So far, of nine offered, seven have brought "no bid", and two have sold (each for $1,200). They've got seven more in tomorrows session just as unappealing as the first nine they've offered.

I actually think it's a tribute to this filly by an unknown sire that she brought $2,000. A short yearling by an unknown sire isn't likely to bring much in any sale anywhere.

The filly was very well behaved even with all the wind! I agree with the last poster as far as the way the sale was going she really got some good looks. Unfortunately the sale did not seem to have near as many folks as were here the day before. I would be proud of her as she handled well and seemed in good fit condition also! Best of luck in the future with your stallion! I took a couple photos of her and if you like I can email them to you if you want just let me know where to send them. :)

There's always a bit of a dropoff in the prospective buyers from the preferred session to the open session (although if you do your homework there's sometimes some nice horses in the open sessions and plenty that should have never been in the preferred). The most distressing thing is when the crowd continues to thin from one open session to the next. OBS open sessions aren't like Keeneland where the quality declines every two days as they move to the next book, in some OBS sales where there's three open sessions the crowd for the third open session will be a lot thinner than in the first even though the only thing that put horses in the third open session rather than the first is random chance and what letter of the alphabet their dams name starts with. The same holds true for this sale where there are only two open sessions. I expect there to be less buyers on hand Friday than there were on Thursday and it's a shame.

That is the same way the Fasig-Tipton October Yearling sale here in MD works. Placement is alphabetical by the dam's name, and the starting point is rotated by about six letters per year. The third and final day is noticeably weaker as people spend their money and go home. There is always money for the best horses, but late in day three for an average or low end horse is the kiss of death in this market.
