These mares do not yet have named foals of 2006, although the foals went through the auction ring.

sorry about the spacing. I put them in when I was composing but they're gone. Wish TABS worked in this forum . . .

Charles Deters owns mare. The 2002 Rahy was just listed in the May maybe Keeneland sale, but was "out".
Out of curiousity why do you follow these?

Deters owns what mare, the one with foal by Rahy?
3 of these listed are being sold again tomorrow and Wednesday at FT.
I follow them as part of an instructive game which I hope will both allow me to measure my judgement at picking Tbreds and help me to learn from mistakes (or successes!) later on.
I picked these out as yearlings or early 2YOs, based on pedigree, soundness of ancestors, and looks in the ring/workouts. I want to follow their careers and see how they do.
If people kniow that one foal died or has been injured, that will keep me from always checking to see if they've been registered with a name.
So far, out of 51 named foals, 21 have had official workouts and 5 have raced/have been entered to race. Out of 5 starts, 3 shows and one place.
It's more fun than working!!!

It's a fun game! I do something similar, but on a smaller scale--usually less than a dozen horses a year picked as 1 or 2 yr olds. I like to look at a good conformation photo of the horses, so I go to a lot of partnership websites, since they usually have pictures. I would love to actually go to the sales, but there aren't any close to where I live.
Good luck with your stable!

the Trumpeting Chelle filly just went through the ring for 20K. has a couple of issues, non displaced ankle chip, etc.

You are only 1 1/2 hours or so (no traffic!) from Fairplex in Pomona where they have the Barretts' sales. They have a nice website (barretts.com) where they have all their upcoming sales listed. Many of the yearlings sold stay in California, and you could then go see your picks at Del Mar.

I have watched greene road's foals go to sales and not meet minimum. They must be late bloomers. Usually they sell when they are two.
