I guess they didn't think it was enough money. I would have sold. But, I am not greedy I am bringing 2 fillys to maryland and they have a one way ticket. I love them, however you can't race them all. I hope they go to good trainers and make Mama proud.

you know what... I'm actually with them on this one. very much so.

this has been an odd sale as far as some of the horses go. A half sister to a Derby/Preakness winner should sell for more than 200k. Alot more.

at 200k, it's worth it to keep her as a broodmare

There were way better fillies if you were buying broodmare prospects and ignoring physicals than her for the same price or less.

Truth is, buyers aren't enamored with Big Brown as connections thought, and the filly is not special from a physical standpoint to say the least.

It's also worth noting that besides the family being rather weak, the best mare representatives from it have been disappointing producers.

They can try to talk up her heart capacity all they want, but she wasn't bringing anywhere near what they wanted.
