watching the results from afar - it sure looked like a rough day for sellers! Any opinions on the day's biggest surprises?

No surprises really, just a continuation of the narrowing of the sales market. The very good ones are selling--though for less than they would have before the stock market tanked last month. The not so good ones are going home with their breeders.

I suspect there will be many fewer mares bred in 2009.

Will anyone be at Fasig-Tipton? Trying to locate consignor to buy a filly privately and FT does not have a cell or barn phone on file for consignor. Can anyone help. I believe consignor is in barn 12 but both their horses went through today....

Please PM me if you can be of assistance. Thanks!!

Congrats. He sold very well. Been here all day and he was the best looking colt I've seen, even more so than the Dixie Union topper who had that great page behind him.

I'm sure you're thrilled.

Its pretty rough over there for the sellers no doubt about it. Lots of bad horses never helps

Thanks for all the kind words. We used Crossroads as our sales agent and WarHorse prepped him for us. Much of the credit goes to them. They both did a great job. PM me if you need contact numbers.

We had no clue what he would bring in this market, pleased beyond words. We sold him today with no reserve.
