Yes, they are prominent, but they sure help give her an enormous stride!
Any stallion that is built uphill that stamps his Get would be able to improve that on the foal. As for the rest of her she is very good.

She's registered as a Dkb/br, not black btw..

Yes, that might be true - but in the photos this mare LOOKS bay, not black.

Yes, as I said she is sun bleached in this photo. Have any of you ever seen a sun bleached black mare.........humm? If I knew so many were hung up on black vrs. drk bay I would never have posted her on this forum, it seems to have struck a nerve strangely enough. She's a great mare, if you don't like her color, try not looking at it.

No need to get all defensive. On the same note, dont post pictures if people cant comment on their observations. I dont recall you saying anything about her being sun bleached. If she was a true black, JC would have had her listed as black and not dkb/br. She was afterall listed as such when she was catalogued at KEESEP04 and OBSMAR05. She is a nice filly, nice girth and shoulder but she needs groceries, and 15K can get you an infoal mare with better page these days.

Well if you post on a forum specifically dedicated to color, I think accuracy is the best policy. I'm not a "color" breeder - to me the best color is the one in the winner's circle or sporting the blue ribbon. But color breeders have pointed out here and elsewhere there is quite a difference genetically between a bay and a black horse and their color producing properties.

Yes, she was pretty lean in that pic, we had just gotten her.
I can see your points, BUT if I photographed her now, and you looked up
her color, you'd be saying oh wow, your mare is black and they have her marked as dark bay, so I can't win for loosing here. No biggy. If she were chestnut she wouldn't be for sale.
