There are so many yearlings consigned to the September sale that they will be expanding it to 2 days instead of just 1. I am sure Texas Tea can find the horse he is looking for at this sale.

evans06,

Welcome to the PQ. What kind of information are you looking for?

I have a one-horse racing stable. My lone horse broke her maiden at Indiana Downs and will be running at Hoosier starting in August. I may be adding another horse at the upcoming Hoosier Auction, if the prices are as depressed as most auctions have been nationally.

Because I live in New Orleans, I rarely get an opportunity to see my horse race. I was looking for a low level Louisiana-Bred claimer type (lost a few low-level shakes) that my trainer could continue to develop, or an unraced 3YO with promise at a "value price" from an upcoming auction. Looking at past Louisiana Auctions, I have seen a number of pretty good horses going for well under $1500. I maybe asking for something that is not there, but with the economy the way it is, I really think prices will continue to come down before they go up. I will be waiting.

Cat's out for the Aug sale in Lafayette. You can request it from LTBSC at 337-896-6152. There are a couple of horses of racing age in there.

Only 3 in there. Wonder if any are worth the money?

Racing age don't look like very much on paper. Some of the yearlings look very promising, but many look that way at this stage. Just not sure if I want to take on a "yearling project."

There's one that might be. I hear the consignor is pretty cool, at least. :D
