Willow's registered name is Aloha Ballerina. She is a 16.2hh 9 y.o Tb Mare. Sweetest personality and very willing. She has been schooled in hunter up to 3'3ish, shown up to 2'6 and would also make an exellent dressage prospect. She has great movement and loves the flat work as well as jumping. your other post indicated that she doesn't have papers. Have you been able to get these?

I have tried getting her papers many times but I can't seem to find them, however I am getting a show passport for her very shortly.

Since the mare raced, she has a lip tattoo, which is proof of registration for showing purposes... You could order replacement papers from the Jockey Club if you were so inclined.. last time I did that it was $150.

Papers are not necessary if you wanted to breed the mare to a Thoroughbred, I think you would only need them for other breeds.

Her tattoo number is, in fact, her registration number. The first letter of the tattoo represents the year of birth, which is 1997. '97 is the letter A. The balance of the numbers are the rest of the registration number.

For example: If her lip says A9846, her registration number is 979846.

I imagine that is all you need.
