Is anyone going? Would love to hear opinions on past sales, etc.

I'll definitely be there. I haven't seen the catalogue yet, so I have no idea what's being offered. In the past, this was usually a pretty weak sale. However, with the incredible success of Keeneland's January sale (which traditionally is much smaller and weaker than November) I would say anything might be apt to happen this year.

For anyone who's interested, they just put the catalogue up on the Fasig Tipton site.

dray, I don't happen to know that consignor, but in most cases you could simply call and ask. Certainly, at the sale, when they're showing the horse, it would be a question they would expect to have to answer.

He also caught my eye on pedigree alone but since I have no use for stallion prospects or colts...

The sale is deceptively strong in my opinion. Lots of nice pedigrees and I would think, with timing of the sale, they could go at reasonable prices. Im going to try to attend but I doubt it. Busy time of the year for me in the Citrus world. But I will be buying.

For those of you who are in the know on such things, which horses are the standouts of the catalogue.

hi guys

Keeneland January was a BIG sale...on the heels of that and considering what the catalogue for the upcoming Fasig-Tipton (Lex) sale looks like...lots of potential Buyers should be on hand and a bang-up sale could result.

Seems like this is a year when Fasig's mid-February timing (and offerings of course) could be just right.

CLEARLY hip 609 is the class of the sale. Rumor has it she is an excellent mover and although sired by storm creek, her incredible good gray look should get attention. It is also said that the man on whom half she is cosigned is a gentleman and a scholar. :D

Does anyone have a non online edition of this catalog?I was noticing there are a number of horses of racing age and yet they dont have Past Performances on their web site. Are they in the back of the catalog?

Yes, there are PPs in the back of the catalogue for horses that are selling as race prospects.
