I thought goiters were caused by not enough iodine??

Wasn't that the reason the government required iodine to be added to all salt?/

You could well be right. When I went to feeding it from late yearling on, I had several vets (farm, track, IL, KY....) sternly lecture me on the potential for "goiter". Fortunately, I have been careful and have NO first hand knowledge of it occuring.
