Oh man, this is going to be one hell of a day.
Trimming goat hooves, bathing & shaving the goats & horse, starting the show prep for the animals & that includes their introduction to clippers and how to stand for bathing, lounging/riding the horse
, pictures of their updates, deworming if I stop by Agway or Tractor Supply (if not, it'll get done next time), cleaning tack & equipment, trimming goat hooves at another farm, consigning stuff at Bewley's tack shop...
I'm going to be dead by the time I get home.
The sad things is I can't wait to get to the barn and get started. Somehow, I coaxed my mom into coming along, though she's afraid of horses and hasn't played with a goat ever.
clh and/or others - thank you for encouraging my posts. It's nice to have someone who's into horses egging me on, since only a few kids at college understand all the time and energy that goes into any of these guys.

Actually my school friends thought it was an affliction.. and they would roll their eyes if I talked about horses. I had many more friends at the stable where I kept my horse. These days, ALL my friends are horse lovers.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

I guess the summary, then, goes as such:
-Feed & bathe horse, turn her back out after hand grazing
-Trim goats' hooves, put them away
-Bring the horse back, bridle her
-Lounge her W/T and then bareback her W/T
Highlights:
-It was her 1st bath ever
-It was her 1st time having anyone ride bareback on her (me)
-My first time on a horse since mid March
-It was her first time walking willingly on the loungeline and staying out on her circle!
