Treatment for osselet

What is the typical treatment for a green osselet? Do these horses require stall confinement or is turnout better? Also, if a horse is lame with this how long are they typically off (or does it very widely)? What is the typical prognosis - would you look at a horse with an osselet as a jumping prospect?
