I've used a product called Wonder Dust with good success.

Adolphs meat tenderized and a bit of Nolvasan ( the blue stuff in the white jar) mix together...the meat tenderizer will break down the proud flesh! Works great!

A product called caustic powder has wonderful results - much, much, much stronger than wonder dust, and with a situation like you have, will be much more effective. I can only get it through my vet though.

Have vet the debride it and then bandage tightly using a silicon support, some vets even will cast it....I had one mare who we couldnt get under control and eventually put her down and a mare this spring who went to cornell and had it removed and then was in a silicon gel wrap for about 2 months..changed the bandaging every 5-6 days, kpt tightly wrapped and looks great now. If you bandage it only lightly it will grow. Good luck...proud flesh is a real pain to deal with

I would also be concerned with the fact that you said the leg is 2x its size she may alos have an intercellular infection. I would get her on some antibiotics aswell as treating the proud flesh.

We've had the absolute best results with Granulex. Stuff works wonders on proud flesh.

I also like Granulex, and the spray can makes it possible to get it on the upside down spots.
