I have a 7 month old filly with 2 or 3 bald spots about an inch in diameter. Her skin is dry and flaky in these spots. Have you seen this ?

soak any brushes etc. in betadine water to kill the ringworm. It's highly contagious and will spread through a barn in no time.

If she scratches or rubs on a post or board in the barn or pasture, spray down too.

Could also be a form of Scaroid. If you are really worried about it or if it worsens you might want to have a vet look at it for a correct diagnosis.

I know this is an old post, but it could be lice. If it is, deworm her with ivermectin, it kills lice, and get some lice duster. I have seen this before.
