What is this called?

What are those protectors on the horses neck that are used when ponying called? They are usually leather and are used so that they dont get bit. I just cannot figure out what they are!!
And BEGONE is GONE!

I have heard them called pony shoulder pads and "bite pads" but cant say if that is the "accepted" term or not. Our tack repairman here on track makes them.

I thought they were called neck or shoulder guards.... well suffice to say I have googled a million freaking way to term it and have nothing. But below is a link that I know makes them ....I think for around $65 to $75.

A pony boy in NY had a good one..He had them put on it, "Bite This" :>) TJ
