Aqua-Treadmill

My 3yo TB just had knee surgery to remove chips. When he is ready to return back to training, I would like to Aqua-treadmill him before bringing him back to the track. I wanted to know if anyone has used the Aqua-treadmill to bring a horse back from a lay-up, how it worked for the horse, and how often you use it before returning to galloping?

I haven't used the treadmill but swim mine. Just had one come back from a slight tendon problem. We swam him 40 days prior to his track return and he's doing great.
