supplements

I have an extremely easy keeper who works everyday, and only gets 1st cut hay. can anyone reccomend a good all around supplement that you can reccomend? thanks

Hm. Do you mean a vitamin/mineral pellet like Pro Balance? Or a supplement to add to oats or feed like Pennwood's Equine Supreme? Both of those are good.

if you have a easy keeper, why do you want to put him/ her on a supplement? Save yourself the money, sounds like you are doing fine.

those easy keepers"chubby"only get hay,mostly timothy,equalizer is basic minerals and essential vitamins to make sure all is balanced.

many of the companies that make horse feed also make supplements. I would suggest getting your hay tested (about 20-40 dollars) and then you will know for sure what is lacking in your horses diet and if you should supplement and then with what. Many of the feed stores know where you can get hay tested if you do not already know of a place.
