Too young to geld?

Wanted to get some opinions on whether it was too early to geld my weanling colt, born March 17. He is not a stallion prospect so wanted to do it eventually. Would appreciate the pros/cons of doing it when he's so young. Thanks!

first, I recommend you make sure they have dropped before you take them out..

Second, I'd wait until next year but before fly season.
