Are you sure you're being precise enough, dray? Perhaps it should be Curlin by 4.31257 lengths.

You left off a 6, I extrapolate to the 6th degree usually

Here's some history to chew on. Of the 32 KY Derby entrants which finished in the money in the BC Juvenile, only two actually won it (Spend A Buck '84 & Alysheba '86) and both of them ran 3rd in the BC. Two others placed and five ran third.

Sea Hero is the last horse to run in the BC Juvie and win the KY Derby. That's 13 years of BC Juvie entrants to fail in this race.

Yes, well I tried leaving the broodmare manual in the feed tub in hopes that my mares might educate themselves. Since the horses can't read about the BC Juvie "curse", nor the form, it may just be a confluence of stars. And sometimes, it is pure coincidence.

A lot of the Juvie winners were precocious types, hammered into steel early on for a big 2 year old year. Then their peers caught up to them and they faded into the breeding shed or obscurity.

Occasionally, actually more like very seldom, there has been a great two year old that was still only DEVELOPING and went on to continue to DEVELOP at three. Which is what I believe Street Sense is. It is a bit like a lightning strike.. which brings to mind Pedigreeann's great line:

"The wait for lightning to strike is shorter if you put up an antenna."

I just hope it doesn't rain.
