How times have changed

Postby Rokeby Forever » Sun Jun 17, 2007 10:05 pm

The last race at Churchill Downs on Sunday was a $5,000 claimer. Take a look at the chart and see if you notice something interesting:

Give up?

Who trained the winner? LMAO!!!!

This guy is down to nickel claimers now? Why doesn't he just ride off into the sunset?

we need to make a "give lukas a runner" foundation...it will be a foundation setup to provide D Wayne with at least 1 graded stakes horse a year, so he won't have to put all the other horses he has though the meathouse just to have have his name on the front page of the news or to get an interview.

he's been training them all year, his tact is at oaklawn down the street from me. He's not doing all that bad in all honesty... but i wouldn't send a pig to him let alone a 200k horse

Lukas had MUCH worse stock then this when he started out in racing 40+ years ago. That horse you referenced would have been his "big horse" when he was stabled at Park Jefferson in the 60s. His whole stable wasn't worth $5,000 back then.

I have no doubt that this horse originally cost his long time clients, Mack and Baker, a lot more than the $5,000 for which it was entered.

Good thing Marylou is giving him some horses to train at Saratoga....I don't think this one would be given stall space.

Lukas trains hard and runs them the same way, the only difference is these Tb of today are bred along the window dressing patterns of fashion and cant hold up to the training patterns of Lukas.

Look at the pedigrees of Lady's Secret and Landaluce and you will see why they started so many times. Lukas is not a breeder and cant tell the difference of his Tb of yesteryear to present. A one size fits all trainer trains all his Tb into the ground.

Why is Calabrese using Murray Johnson as a trainer?

I met Murray Johnson years ago when he was training in the West and he was working for trainer John Godsen. Murray has paid his dues and is a good trainer.

Calabrese doesnt use him as a trainer, he jsut claims horses for him at Churchill. Anyone that would use him as a trainer is a buffoon

So he just claims for Calabrese then turns them over to Catalano.

Men At Work had both the classic "I Come From a Land Down Under" and "Who's That Knocking At My Door?"...

p.s.

I'm not sure those are the actual titles.

I was more of a Divinyls fan for as long as they lasted. LOL!

PS: How did that Men At Work singer (Colin something?) get his eyeballs to move in different directions?
