We harp so much on who are good stallions... if I were getting ready to take my mare to someone, if you had to pick one horse to beg me to NOT breed to, who would it be and why?

Wow. I have to think on this one. I'd have said Waquoit, but he's not with us anymore so that's a moot point.

My farm is in Oklahoma however I reside in Bowie, MD. My last choice in Oklahoma would be Concern at $2,500.

In California, other than what Sam calls the low feeders, among the worst performing stallions in CI/AEI terms are SKIMMING and COMIC STRIP. Great opportunities, abysmal achievements. Not far away is EVENT OF THE YEAR.

Well, Behrens pretty much put Jim Bond out of business. Maybe the California landscape will do Behrens some good. Maybe not. LOL!

Fusaichi Pegasus. Not only are his offspring duds, but they are crazy duds that you can't do anything with.

I notice you didn't answer any of my questions... in fact, you seemed to have walked away from that thread all together.

I have to give you Event of the Year, though.

Look at Siphon out in PA. Prospect Bay in Virginia isn't much better. Then there's Favorite Trick in NM (who's now managed to pop up in THREE threads).

I thought Favorite Trick died in a barn fire.

He sure did... as well as Saratoga Six. He still was a pretty useless stallion though, regardless of his ill-fate.

I doubt that I would ever beg you not to breed to a standing sire, but if you told me you were going to breed to a theatrical son I would scratch my head. He is a fabulous sire himself and many of his sons have the earnings, pedigrees, and looks that should make a sire, but you would think he would have a couple of sure bet sons by now.
