Coolmore better watch out. I like what Darley has done this year Stud wise. In a year with a GREAT 3YO's with interesting pedigrees, they are snatching them up.
Look for Tiago to be next in line
Don't miss out on Zanjero however..
On a different note.... over under on stud fee?
$25k?

If I"m not mistaken, the Kentucky Farms won't spend what Ashford (at times) and Darley will.. it's math

hi bdw0617
You're referring to Any Given Saturday re the following...correct?
Very likely OVER.
Unless there's an issue/concern that we are not aware of...I'd expect that it's more than likely (unless he throws in a couple of stinkers and/or something goes awry), that Any Given Saturday will be tagged (initially) with an advertised stud fee in excess of $25,000...possibly MUCH more.
Arguably, if (as his racing career continues to unfold) he captures the imagination and/or performs outstandingly and/or earns an eclipse...the sky could be the limit, don't you think?
On the flip side, even if the wheels fall off, Any Given Saturday is a G1-Haskell winner...that's by a TOP sire (Distorted Humor) and out of an A.P. Indy daughter that's a multiple graded-stakes producer, that's out of a stakes-winning Spectacular Bid daughter who not only produced a couple of graded runners (including Second of June) but is also a half-sister to a number of good (or better) stakes winners, including G1 winner Afifa and the good (and well regarded by many) sire Auction Ring.
A pretty nice package, don't you think?
Respectfully

This confirms that the Tampa Bay Derby is a breeder's race.

so what.. 26k?
I just don't see him winning another grade 1. Also it's about Value. He is a nice colt, but the thought of breeding to him doesn't knock my socks off like some of the higher priced stallions do. The pricing of other stallions keeps fees somewhat in check. That 30-50k Area is very, very stout... it takes more than a grade 1 to get in there.
also when you are getting in the 50k range, you are talking about making a profit in sales rings. To make a reasonable profit you would have to avg about 90k per foal... some people might think that.. I'm not one of them.
Another point... Remember, Darley will more than likely have Street Sense, Hard Spun & admire moon as the new kids on the block. HOw refereshing it would be to get Admire Moon over here in the States.. but that wouldn' thappen

I would think Bin Suroor, as he's in NY
Not like that's much better...
