Nice!

#5047 Mr Greeley mare I/F to one of the most consistent race sires on the planet...Slew City Slew! Nice young gal who ran a bit and could end up with any kind of horse...dirt/grass. Nice thing about Slew City is that the past 2 years, his covering sire auction results are very reasonable....averaged about $10k....perhaps the Mr. Greeley and a winning mare will bring that up some. Even throwing Lava Man out, SC Slew gets $50k avg per runner...jumps to $66k with Lava in there.....

#5094...the mighty Skywalker! mare ran and has consistently gotten foals....only 10 yrs. at next foal...without checking, I'd guess she's dropping NY-breds w/ Cat. ....Albert has made a name for himself this year....one of my fave horses during his racing career. Interesting!
And DOWN the stretch they come!

Thanks for the response Matt...I'm looking to start out with mares and covering sires that have a good shot at producing runners at a poor mans price..LOL...Slew City Slew seems to be as consistent as you can get....I hope he lasts at least a few more years...I also like Wagon Limit for some reason but he has 0 mares in foal at this sale...

Okay, here comes by blatent plug (I guess I shouldn't use that term when describing horses!) for Hip #4373 Domestic Dispute - Raffle colt.

I just heard from the vet that his scope/xrays came back good (always a relief). Now if he'll just stay sound and healthy through the 16th...

Under the circumstances, it was. We were offered 2 1/2 times that while she was still racing and didn't take it. Sadly within 3 months she was injured and couldn't race anymore...ah well...hindsight is 20/20 they say. She sold well and we are content that the bidding went over the reserve by a bit.

Congratulations to your dad as well.

Anybody see #398 up close? Was she still in foal? Did the colt (#399) by AA not look to good?

$52k seems pretty reasonable for that mare i/f to Afleet Alex. Ran a bit...nice female side....fairly young....no runners yet, maybe they don't look to well on the ground?
And DOWN the stretch they come!

I'm sure you'll get some nice sales foals out of them before they see a sale. Silver Bark has one sexy pedigree and Coded Princess is as sexy a physical specimen as can be!

The Princess looked really great in the ring didn't she?...Sid at Matagorda did his usual fabulous job of turning a horse out for the sale ring. He is the one who sent Cassydora in looking so wonderful too.

Silver Bark has a very specialized pedigree...and she tends to be small...which those who know her family know and understand that it has no bearing on the family being able to run...they just didn't want to pay what we wanted (by a hair it seems.) So...either we'll sell her privately or just foal her out and see how the Officer baby turns out.

Boston Harbor mare out of a Stake winning Tasso mare.

Even Hip 2921 Yankee Victor mare out of Stakes winning and Producing Roman Majesty mare. Who is a 100% producer of winners from foals to race. Bred on a March cover too

Ah Crystal - thanks since I'm the momma of Anna K. Her Medallist colt is gorgeous!!! She throws lovely, lovely babies and the mare is really nice. She's a beauty AND in a herd of 6 she is queen of the lot ;) She had to stop racing due to a cracked sesmoid.

Stop by and see her and her baby on Thursday or Friday. Ocumare and her Cuvee colt sell on Friday as well.

Also on Wednesday I'm selling Laird's Honor (Honor Grades out of Laird's Cup). She's in foal to Suave - which will produce a 4x4 My Charmer and 4x4 Weekend Surprise baby! Her Even the Score colt is a coming into his own now and is filling out nicely. Laird's Cup has some stakes winners.

Looks like quite a few of our prospect mares mentioned earlier will be very available in the $20-30k area over the next few days. I was surprised to see HIP 3241 from my list go for $22k.
