Our "Impeachment" Filly

Postby Avila Acres » Wed May 14, 2008 6:16 pm

We're happy to introduce everyone to our Impeachment baby. A lovely chestnut filly she's been a hoot to watch and interact with. Below are some pictures of her from today. My favourite one is the picture where she's trying to stare down our gelding on the other side of the fence. A fiesty little thing! Oh and mom is Steadyonthewire - possibly the easiest birther on the planet. She wasn't really showing any real signs of impending labour but hubby was still getting up every 1 1/2 hours to check the foal cam. At 2am she was in her stall staring at the wall like she'd been doing the past few days. At 3:30am, hubby wakes up to see her calmly licking a little foal like nothing big happened.

She's a beauty! Congrats.. Interesting linebreeding to some great sires, racehorses and broodmares. Best of luck.

She's darling. Not a speck of white either eh? Just a solid and pretty as you want her. Congrats!

I'm surprised to see another Birdonthewire mare in the forum. My Spanish Guitar is also by him. I'm sure you are aware that the multiple G1 sprinter named Benny the Bull is by Lucky Lionel out of a Birdonthewire mare.
