Unusual Heat and Sarrland - where are they

Postby patrick » Sun Nov 30, 2008 6:08 am

Anybody know where Unusual Heat is going to land or what his fee will be?

Also, I'm assuming Saarland is heading for a regional market. Any news?

I would think the opposite. A move to Kentucky would be crazy at this time. He's a 19 year old stallion getting great results where he is. I can't see how moving him would help at all.

Though since the steroid ban, Abrams has struggled.. might be a sign of what UH actually is. AND he seems like a turf/ synthetic horse

How can they get anywhere near the money he is worth. His numbers are
unreal. If he is staying there, I have not heard a fee for him.

I had high hopes for Saarland and bred to him his first year. Sorry I did now!

Saarland had some serious fertility issues last year.

I'm not saying a thing. Just an observation.

UH will stay in Ca, but will be bred to 12 mares that will be flown in from Ky. I told Barry Abrams years ago to lease those Blue Blood mares & breed them to UH before he becomes a senior citizen. Barry is very frugal, so lets hope those 12 class mares will produce a prolific number of superior runners.
