The mare's tail femail has not produced anything of note since the late 1980s and the proposed sire has only produced two horses that have paid their expenses in the last 10 years..

Horses are selling dirt cheap this year and I believe you would be better served to buy something at auction or to look into claiming something you like.

Charm did you take a look at the mare Hops is selling in Wash state? She's a winner sired by Unusual Heat who has been top of the sire list for Ca for few years now. She's in foal, fees paid for a foal that might get you to the track and all this for $4500. Under buying/selling forum.
