Smoke Glacken Daughter - Name Your Price

Postby ZiaLand » Thu Feb 11, 2010 10:14 am

Smoke Byda Sea, 6YO, by champion sprinter Smoke Glacken out of Goomada Byda Sea, a daughter of Kentucky Derby winner, Sea Hero and G1 & G2 stakes-placed mare Grand Girlfriend. Smokey is located near Albuquerque, New Mexico just off the I-40 corridor.

Smokey is a half-sister to City Broad (by City Zip--in database) who just won a $40,000 allowance (convincingly) at Aqueduct and is consistently running bullet works.

Our main concern is to find her a GOOD home. Name your price. (In this economy, ALL offers will be seriously considered.)

We acquired Smokey as a two-year-old for our breeding operation, but our business went belly-up before she came of age to breed. She is unraced and unbred. She is gray and stands at least 16.2hh (possibly taller, we've never sticked her). Loves people.

Prior to us purchasing her, she had 90 days of professional under-saddle training and was being pointed toward a 2YO-in-training sale, but popped a splint prior to the sale. She has not been ridden since, but may also make an excellent sport horse prospect for someone willing to put the time in to training her. Her dam has similar breeding to eventer/jumper/dressage competitor and sire Sea Accounts (in database).

I failed to mention Smokey also has two other half-siblings that are both winners, according to the database.

3YO Goombada Guska (by Yonaguska) : 5 starts, 1 win, 1 third, $35,250
4YO Itsagoodtendollars (by Tale of the Cat): 2 starts, 1 win, 1 second, $32,300
Updated 2/14/10 with allowance win:
3 starts, 2 wins, 1 second, $56,800 earnings

Both colts are in the database.

I've been asked to post an asking price on Smokey, so....

$900 negotiable to a good home.

Smokey is being offered as a broodmare prospect or sporthorse horse prospect only. (Not to race.) She is a "people horse."

All her half-siblings (3YO/4YO/5YO) are winners and two are very recent $40,000 allowance winners at Aqueduct. City Broad (by City Ziip) is running regular bullet works.

We have pics available.

Thanks.
